I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and had never heard of DreamMates.com. While web surfing one day, I came across your banner ad and signed up more out of curiosity than anything else, but one ad really caught my eye. I sent a message right away and got a reply the very same night. Ryan and I sent messages for two days, talked on the phone for two more, then we met in person. As fate would have it, we lived in the same neighborhood. In fact, I drove by Ryan’s apartment every day on my way to work.
 
After three months we moved in together and were married within six months of meeting. August 18, 2002 Ryan and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary. It has been the happiest year of our lives. We just bought our first house and are starting a business together. A year and a half ago I never would have dreamed I'd be where I am today. Our story is a real dream come true. People say there is a soul mate for everyone and we truly believe they are right. We were two souls who lived in two very different areas of the United States. Mike lived in Connecticut all his life and I lived in the Midwest before moving to South Carolina. Prior to our meeting, Mike and I were both in long, steady relationships that ended.
 
That’s when Mike and I both found DreamMates.com. One day in late March 2001, I came across your site and decided to give it a try. After a day or two, I received a fair number of profiles, one of which happened to be Mike’s. I sent him a message and he replied the next day. After that, we emailed and chatted with each other everyday. The next thing I knew, we were making plans to meet for the first time.
 
In July 2001, Mike drove down to South Carolina to meet me. After he left, I made two trips to Connecticut to see him. Neither of us was sure we wanted to give our hearts to another again, but it was different this time.
 
In time, Mike asked me to move to Connecticut. In October 2001, I left my family to be with him. In November, Mike asked me to marry him and we are now planning our wedding for the spring of 2004.
 
Mike and I are both so thankful and blessed to have each other. This July marked our first year together. We were meant for each other. We would like to thank God especially, but also DreamMates.com for helping us find our dream mates.
